Promoting Ethical Cow Care at Shiv Shakti Gaushala
Cultural and Spiritual Significance
Our Key Activities
-
Rescue: Our top priority is rescuing injured cows by responding to public calls, patrolling known areas of injury, and collaborating with local animal shelters.
-
Rehabilitation: Post-medical care, injured cows often require rehabilitation, including physical therapy, retraining to walk, and assistance in adjusting to life with disabilities.
-
Rehoming: After rehabilitation, injured cows need rehoming, which may involve finding a new owner, placing them in a sanctuary, or releasing them back into the wild.
-
Volunteer Management: Effective volunteer management is crucial, involving training, skill development, and providing meaningful engagement opportunities for volunteers.
Goals of Our Shiv Shakthi Gaushala
Medical Care
Our aim is to promptly deliver medical care to injured cows, ensuring they receive on-site treatment and transportation aid as needed. Additionally, we provide medical support and treatment facilities for ailing mother cows.
Community Engagement and Participation
We are involved in discussions with local communities in order to promote the feeling of compassion toward the holy creatures and push people to take complete ownership of their cows.
